1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the CalInfo mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

CalInfo is a nutrition tracking application that allows users to:

  • Scan product barcodes to retrieve nutritional information
  • Track daily food intake and calories
  • Monitor macronutrients (protein, carbohydrates, fat)
  • Set and track fitness and health goals
  • Use AI-powered food analysis (Pro subscription)
  • Track activity data including steps, water intake, and sleep (Pro subscription)

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

To use certain features of the App, you must create an account. You may sign up using your email address or through third-party authentication providers (Apple, Google).

3.2 Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Providing accurate and complete information
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

4. Subscriptions and Payments

4.1 Free and Pro Plans

CalInfo offers both free and paid subscription plans. Free users have access to basic features with daily scan limits. Pro subscribers receive unlimited access to all features.

4.2 Payment Processing

All payments are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store. By subscribing, you agree to their respective terms and conditions.

4.3 Subscription Renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage your subscription through your device's app store settings.

4.4 Refunds

Refund requests are handled by Apple App Store or Google Play Store according to their policies. We do not process refunds directly.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Use automated systems to access the App
  • Share your account credentials with others
  • Upload false or misleading information

6. Health Disclaimer

IMPORTANT: CalInfo is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

The nutritional information provided by the App is for informational purposes only and should not be considered medical advice. Always consult with a healthcare professional before making significant changes to your diet or exercise routine.

Nutritional data is sourced from various databases and may not always be 100% accurate. We strive for accuracy but cannot guarantee the completeness or correctness of all information.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the App, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, and software, are the exclusive property of CalInfo and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

8. Third-Party Services

The App may integrate with third-party services including:

  • Authentication providers (Apple, Google)
  • Food databases and APIs
  • Payment processors
  • Analytics services

Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CALINFO SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account and access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms.

You may terminate your account at any time by deleting your account through the App settings or by contacting us.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or via email. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
